To request a routine appointment in the next 7 to 14 days
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable health professional to help you.
Your appointment
We may then offer you a consultation:
- By phone
- Face to face at the surgery
- On a video call
- By text
Appointments by phone, video call or by text can be more flexible. This often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
Each patient will be allowed one GP appointment at a time, as multiple appointments per patient reduces the number of pre-bookable appointments available.
If you have more than one medical issue to discuss in your appointment please make sure you advise us of this in your appointment request. In a standard appointment it is only possible to safely discuss one problem. Please do not be offended if the GP asks you to book another slot if you have more than one problem.
If you have a preferred Clinician you'd like to see/speak to please feel free to request and if available or appropriate, it will be offered.
RSV Hub and Extended Access
In case we are out of appointments for the same day, our reception staff will endeavour to accomodate you by booking you into a timed appointment slot either at the RSV Hub which is based in our building upstairs or with our extended access service. Both of these services have access to your GP records and hence are able to provide a degree of continuity of care. Please consider accepting these appointments if offered.

Have you considered, you may not need a GP appointment?

Telephone Consultations
If you would like to have a telephone consultation, please leave your name, address, telephone number as well as the reason for the consultation in as much detail as possible with the reception staff. The doctor will ring you as soon as possible and assess the patient’s condition over the telephone. The result will likely be one of the following:
- Advice will be given over the phone eliminating the need for a face-to-face consultation
- Arrangements will be made for a prescription to be ready to collect from reception later on that day
- If it is considered urgent a face-to-face appointment for sometime that day will be arranged
Home Visits
Home visits should be requested as soon as possible. Please try to ring before 10.30am. Remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to make one home visit.
